Sinsel’s on the move

A Dutchman in Florence

pic_0409.jpg

I met a great guy names Michiel in Trogir,  Croatia while I was there working on the Logos Hope.  Through developing a friendship for two weeks, we became inseparable. We talked about him coming to America and visiting.  Well, it worked out and now he is here in Florence for 3 months. He is staying with us and the girls have adopted him as their older brother. You never know what God is going to do in the relationships you develop with others. Michiel arrived in Canada on the 19th of December and experienced his first Christmas away from home.  He just flew in today and we are having a reunion with t

he Croatia team at our home.  Stayed tuned for some great stories about his time here in Florence.

Sophia the Braveheart

Sophia had her MRI on Friday.  She was so brave.  Margaret got some pictures on her phone of Sophia with her IV in her arm.  It is amazing how the anaesthesiologist was able to time her sleep with her weight and the length of time in the machine. She woke up right as it was moving her out.  Please continue to pray that we will hear great reports from the doctor.

Update on Sophia

Not much to tell, keep praying!  She had her MRI but they were unable to get any good pictres because she could not stay still.  They said she did really well for being so young, but they will need to try again.  Her next appointment will be after Christmas.  Thanks again for you prayers for our family.

Strange thing…an area around Sophia’s knee was swollen, kinda looked like a broken bone.  After further x-rays and the doctor’s saying her bone is bigger than the one on the other leg.  She has an MRI scheduled for tomorrow and we should have the results soon after.  pray that all goes well with the MRI and our little Sophia will be healed.  She is fine; still into everything, no pain, walks fine, runs even better.
